Kaleb & the Red Raiders

The Undefeated Red Raiders
Pep talk.

Say cheese!

Matching up against one of his best friends, Brig.
Cousins!
We were so fortunate to get Kaleb & TJ on the same basketball team this year, and also to have a wonderful coach. Kaleb hadn't played in about a year and a half because 'copa changed their season to summer (which really makes sense) and we moved. This was TJ's first time playing on a basketball team, and it was really fun to see them both improve so much over the season. They were both really good at defense and their team went undefeated. Coach Crider was so positive with all the kids, it was a great experience for all!

Dylan & the Red Rockets

Coach, his son, Liam, Ian, Marlee, Grace, Josh, Dylan, Bree, Rawley, &Alvin .

Some friends in the ward invited us to sign up for a new soccer league and most of Dylan's primary class joined in, which was really fun. Most of them had never played before. He was off to a great start and really loving it UNTIL there was a little trash-talking "You're stinky!" from a Mexican chick twice his size. This was halfway through the season. From that point on, he really wanted nothing to do with games. He didn't want to play if there was anyone bigger than him, didn't like the length of the field, it was too hard, and he came unglued when anything didn't go his way. It was torture for his soccer mom & dad. I tried every angle I could to get him over the hump, but when it came down to it, we decided to skip his last game for a family trip to Sedona and give it time. The one great thing he learned was how to play goalie, and he was awesome!

Fun Run

Kaleb was able to participate in his very first fun run at his school this year.  It was a fun fundraiser and we loved watching those long legs of him race around the field.  He finished 2nd in all of 2nd grade and enjoyed every minute of it.  He also earned lots of money for his school thanks to his parents, grandparents & Uncle Blake. :)

Valentine's Day

We felt a lot of love and had fun celebrating together this year. The kids love all holidays and we try to make each one special. Dylan and Ruby helped me pick out twelve heart balloons for Ben, one for each year we've been a couple. I then wrote favorite memories and attached them to the balloons & the kids had fun helping me get the surprise ready. Ben texted me little love notes and memories all day long. It was sweet and made me feel like we were newlyweds again. We also made a special steak dinner together. The kids loved their class parties and making Valentines for their friends and us. They also loved the Valentine's package from Grandma & Papa.

Ruby's red dress for Valentines.

Smooshy nose kisses.

The Loot!

Chocolate lover!

Love across the miles! Grandma sent photo books for each kid from her visit.

Dinner!

Ward Valentine party: limbo, line dancing, arrow shooting, & cookie decorating.
Dylan was the best Valentine of all!
