Santa Claus is Coming to TOWN!
Or we should probably say CAME to town because he stopped by our house a little early this year. Since we are traveling to Texas to spend Christmas with Ben's family, we decided to simplify the packing by having our own little Christmas in Maricopa before we leave. It was just what we needed, some good fun family together time, and a chance to start some of our own Christmas traditions. Kaleb is just the perfect age right now to really understand and get into the whole thing. He and Dad wrote a cute letter to Santa, we made Christmas cookies to leave by the tree along with a carrot for Rudolph of course, and he went straight to bed w/ no stalling (a small miracle) since he knew Santa would come while he was asleep. To see the reactions of both the boys was just priceless!

Both boys loved each other's toys as much as their own.
Here's Kaleb riding Dylan's present from Santa.

Both boys stopped and played with each of their toys before moving on to the next one.
Here's Dylan figuring out his new Sesame Street driving toy from Kaleb.

Here's D loving the stocking stuffer as much/more than his big presents. Typical, but cute!

Cute boy Dylan showing off and saying CHEESE! Just this week he started saying cheese when we're taking pictures. I don't think he even knows it's a food yet!

A Christmas performance...enjoy! Pretty sure he learned his moves from dad and his uncles. You'll have to turn off the music on the side playlist to hear him sing & maybe turn up the volume a little.

WHAT THE CRAP?!?
Dylan is one stinky dude...we've known this from birth, but love him anyways. That was until last night! D was letting them fly, so I changed him...nothing more than a wet diaper. A few minutes go by and it really reeks again. Ayden & Randy were over so Randy checked Ayden, nothing, and he says he thinks it might be Dylan. Well D is tooting as usual, but I had just changed him, so I don't think much of it. Then he wanders over & he really does smell like Stinky Stinkerton, so I decide to check his diap, like I've done a million times. I go in to pull the diaper away from his bum so I can look, and OH THE HORROR, SPINACH GREEN POOP IS ON MY FINGER!!! It was green, mushy, all the way up his back and so disgusting! I screamed like a little girl, ran in circles not knowing what to do, and not wanting it in my kitchen sink, and then quickly, quickly cleaned us all up. Dylan went straight to the tub where he immediately started peeing in his bubble bath. Nice. Normally this stuff doesn't bother me...it's my own kid, it's part of life, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah, but as Sid the Sloth would say, "HUMANS ARE DISGUSTING!"

Silly Dilly
Our little Dylan is already 15 months... I can hardly believe it! It seems like he grew up overnight. He's already eating with a fork & spoon, tackling his brother, practically running, and his fun personality fills our days with laughter. When Dylan wakes up he gives the sweetest hugs and he leans his little head into the crook of my neck and shoulder and it just melts my heart. He also runs to the door when Daddy comes home and gives him the same sweet hugs. D has all his baby teeth, except his canines in, and has the cutest little toothy grin. Reminds me of Sunny Baudelair a bit, especially when he goes in for a kiss! He loves to "talk" on my phone, read books especially if it's about Sesame Street, animals or cars. He's also saying a few more words: mama, dada, car, go, ball, hi, bye, la, la, la, la (elmo) & monkey, dog, duck & car noises. It's pretty cute! He loves to do whatever Kaleb is doing, and it's so much fun seeing them chase each other around the house and go down our slide together. Dylan is famous for blowing raspberries on us all at any given time or place, and also knows he's done something funny when he lets one fly. Such a boy! Other favorite past times are dancing to any music in the car or on tv and running with his little arms behind him like he's taking off. He loves Patty Cake, 10 Little Indians, This Little Piggy, waving and blowing kisses, airplane rides on mommy's knees & is very ticklish! Silly Dilly we love, love, love you!
