Ben has been working A LOT of overtime and traveling a lot as well. He always goes the extra mile and finally was recognized for all the extra he does all the time. After a stressful round of meetings and presentations with clients that went really well, his boss told him to come home, take his wife out, and send him the bill. I was ecstatic! Ben chose the place, I chose the outfit, and we were off!
After talking to a friend who's wife is a professional chef, Ben took me to a restaurant at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, the J&G Steakhouse. Having never been to the Phoenician, I was very impressed. It's where the President stays when he's in Arizona and I can see why. Perfectly manicured grounds, amazing pools, fountains...beauty everywhere. The resort is nestled into a hill that overlooks Camelback and the valley. We arrived around 6, had a table with a view, and were able to enjoy the sunset together. Our table was next to the balcony which also had a fire lit outside and beautiful deep purple petunias in planters all around. The view was stunning, the food, atmosphere, and service amazing, the company...my hot husband, perfect! It was so nice for a change to get dressed up for a date, leave the kiddos behind, and remember why we fell in love with eachother in the first place. We decided it was our best and most romantic date ever.... with many more to come!

It's so fun to be able to do things like that every once in a while. My parents watched the kids overnight in December, and it was so great to just be by ourselves... we told them that is what we want for Christmas every year... just a little time for ourselves. Glad that you had a great night. Hope that there are many more to come :)

That's awesome! Everyone needs to get one on one time with their spouses so we can remember why we fell in love and rekindle the existing love for each other. Will and I so need one of these kind of nights! :o) I love that the boss picked up the tab so price wasn't a concern with the economy and all. You look so beautiful glad you had fun. :o)
I'm glad you guys got to go out for a fun and romantic night! I love the Phoenician resort, so pretty! Isn't it nice to get a little alone time to keep your relationship strong and rekindle the romance! Now I want to plan a date night with Christian!!
