MY BOYS

Time for another edition of MY BOYS, because they're doing it again. Making me laugh so much, I thought I'd share!

DYLAN: Has recently learned that his parents have names. Today he introduced me to our pediatrician. it went something like this: This is my arm. This is my leg. This is my baby sister, Ruby. (which sounds like RUVY) This is my mom, her name is Sara. What 2 year old does this!?! He also is really good at pretend and is always IN CHARACTER all day long. He assigns the rest of us parts. On a typical day he will be Momzilla, Rudy, Superman, Batman, and sometimes Ben. He has a tremendously loud ROAR that goes with his dinosaur characters from Ice Age, and his superhero antics come complete with background music. If I dut-dut-dut his Superman theme song, he'll correct me. No Mom, it's HMM-HMM-HMM. I've been messing with him and doing it all day...he, he, he and he corrects me every single time! He also wiggles his entire body when he's eating something he really likes.
KALEB: Is a liar-liar-pants-on-fire lately. For stupid stuff really, but we're trying to nip it in the bud. Did you hit your brother? NO. Did you make your bed? NO and on and on it goes. He has been grounded from WII and friends for 3 days this week because of it. We have new nicknames for each other. Kaleb calls me Mommy-who-knows-everything-what-to-do in a not quite smart-alecky voice. I laughed so hard the first time he called me this, he keeps doing it! Today I started to call him Kaleb-who-knows-how-to-do-everything-by-himself (but often chooses not to).

BEN: Decides to come home after a long, hard day for both of us and declare: What would you say to me if I told you I'd quit my job? I could tell he was messing with me, so I stayed very calm and did not give him the ballistic reaction he would have deserved if said job was quit, but come on! After all that both our parents have been through recently, not to mention several close friends, do you really go there? Apparently some guy at his work did. For real. I hope he isn't married.

Kohler is doing the same lying thing! Did you go potty? YES (really no). We've been trying to stop it too.

They sound like "all boy" to me but not like I'd know much about boys... yet. :) I wish we lived closer. Thanks for posting about the boys, Ruby and your birthday. I love reading about all that's going on. xoxo

I wish we were still your neighbors too! It would have been fun to do the Nivea challenge together! Luckily (and surprisingly) Brian has stuck with it (with a few cheats here and there) :) Also, I saw that you mentioned Dr. Chung? Is that Susan Chung at Mesa Pediatrics? If so, she is Averie's doctor too and we love her! Oh and thanks so much for letting me know about ward temple night- I did want to go but it was the night my sis and her hubby got home from their honeymoon and we all went out to dinner. We miss you guys!
