Part of why I loved the Surfrider so much is they offered outside yoga.
After kissing my husband,

it was the perfect way to start my day. Our instructor took us to a large lawn area that overlooked the ocean. I was surrounded by lush green grass and bushes, palm trees, could see the amazing blue water and hear the soothing sound of the waves. It was Earth day, and I felt very connected and so grateful to my Savior for my health and this incredibly beautiful world we live in. Ben read the news and waited for me, then we had breakfast on the outdoor patio. I had the BEST guava juice and a fruit platter, Ben had orange-blueberry-granola pancakes. YUM! I told our waiter I was trying to eat as much pineapple as I could while I was in Hawaii, so he brought us out an extra plateful. We then got ready to hit the beach! We took a nice drive to Hanauma Bay and it was so busy, we had to park a mile away and hike up & downhill to get there. All part of the fun!

They showed us a video before we could start and it said this used to be a private beach just for royalty. Now it's a conservation area.

Hanauma Bay

Snorkeling was so fun! I'd never been before and felt like a fish. We laid out, napped and swam to our hearts content. When we were rinsing off, we saw our first of many wild chickens! So random. We then had an awesome drive listening to Hawaiian music & found some amazing views. We stopped at a place called Blowhole.

Crazy tourists!

Ben won't let me do this. :(
We found a dive on the side of the road and tried the Kalua pig, sticky rice & mac salad. I don't recommend the mac salad. When we got back to our place, we hit the beach again. Ben swam, I read, and was almost washed away while reading Pearl Harbor. That night Ben gave me my first lei, purple plumeria, as we wandered around for a dinner place. We had hawaiian pizza in Hawaii & did a little shopping. It wasn't until we were getting ready for bed that we noticed our funny sunburns. Ben had crazy triangles all over his back (the spray sunscreen didn't work so well in the wind) and I had a nice stripe on my upper thighs.

Sara,
ok, I don't know about you but after watching the video about the reef at Hanauma Bay I was so paranoid about touching the reef after that.
