Havasupai, Part 1

Ever since moving to Arizona, I've wanted to hike down to Havasupai near the Grand Canyon. I love a big adventure, but I'm not really adventurous enough to go out and do it on my own.  So it took me several years before I had the right friends, who'd done it several times, and didn't mind us tagging along. I was in what I thought the right stage in life, meaning not pregnant or nursing. I also feel like we don't know how much longer we'll be in Arizona, since Ben will at least pursue a new job after he graduates from Thunderbird. I decided we had to do this before we may possibly leave Arizona. We started talking about it about a year ago and made reservations in January. We invited several of our copa friends and I also invited my parents, Jonny & Dani. We purchased gear and planned for months leading up to the big day. Ben got all Bear Grylls on me by the end (so hot!), but due to his school deadlines, our move, and two sitters that fell through, he ended up staying home. Not really how I envisioned our trip, but I tried to make the best of it.

Here's an overview in photos, courtesy my mom & Dani.

This sounds so fun! I talked to Ben while you guys were gone, such a bummer he couldn't go too.
