We were so excited because we thought we'd be able to have Kaleb & Dylan play on the same team for probably the first time, but it didn't end up happening. They wouldn't let us enroll D because he wasn't in kindergarten. K's coaches were really nice though and let D practice with the team when he felt like it. Kaleb was in a k-2 league as a second grader and one of the few players on his team that had played before, so he was the starting quarterback every game. It was really fun watching him progress and play under pressure. He loved playing receiver too, but had to ask for playing time in other positions. He also loved playing defense and could really run fast with those long legs of his. Although the league was "noncompetitive" and they didn't keep score, they did end the season with a single elimination tournament. This was K's first tournament and he REALLY wanted to go all the way. hey played really well, and there were a few bad calls that cost them their last game, but they ended up with 3rd place and Kaleb's first ribbon. I have never seen a more heartbroken little boy, but he sure did make his parents proud!
